The government has issued their transitional HST to GST guidelines and below is the simplified "Coles Notes".

On February 17, 2012, the province announced the New Housing Transitional rules:

-          Up to April 1, 2012: Pay 12% HST. Rebate of up to $26,250 remains in place

-          Between April 1, 2012 and April 1, 2013: Pay 12% HST. Rebate of up to $42,500 (threshold increased)

Greater Vancouver home sales trend toward buyers’ market over summer
